Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
I’m think I’m going to go see Cheb i Sabbah tonight. I’m still waffling a bit about it…he’s playing at the Baltic Room, which is ridiculously tiny. As Steve said:
stephen_hecht: I can’t imagine how crowded it’s going to be. Oh, wait, yes I can. I’ve been there.
arielmeadow: Yeah, I know.
stephen_hecht: The problem with “exclusive” places is that they rarely exclude enough people.
arielmeadow: zakly.
stephen_hecht: And they don’t usually raise the door price enough to discourage the people who couldn’t much care who’s playing.
stephen_hecht: I can assure you there will be hardly room to lift your drink. Let alone pretend to dance.
But I think I’m going to go anyway, because I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this man. Wonderful wonderful things.
Today’s been another running around day. Here’s the list:
1. Oil change / new brake light
2. New car battery
3. Large hot chocolate with extra whip cream
4. Socks @ Target
5. Grocery shopping (tea for Tim!)
6. Email Scott
7. Call TW
8. Start CPC personal statement
That CPC statement seems to be giving me grief. Inspiration will come, I’m sure of it. And it’s not due for two months.
