Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
Today is mad pink preparation for the Girly Squeez slumberparty tonight. I’m making a valentine tree for the ladies, and getting lots of pink champagn, and we’re making lipbalm and valentines and knitting and candles and all sorts of girly crafts stuff.
I would now like to draw your attention to this article, about Seattle Muslims protesting the use of Koran imagery on a rave flyer. Rave graphics (like electronic music) are all about sampling and co-opting, and it looks like Mr. Rave Flyer Designer (who “declined to give his name, saying he feared retaliation”) borrowed the wrong image, explaining he “had no idea what any of it meant.”
