Tonight, Andrew Rawnsley, the former editor of xlr8r magazine, gave me a free astrological reading. A good one. Long. Indepth. Personal. Here’s a sampling of the notes I took as we talked:
Next year is crucial: Two prongs of attack.
Sun in Taurus in the 10th house (zone representing career/vocation/what you do in the world) - World is to manifest Midhead also in Taurus - conquery or tangible manifestion. Not enough just to put ideas out…need manifestation. Ideas HAVE to take real shape, need to be formed.
Currently in heavily saturnian period: “making things real.” Thursday March 1 will final path of Saturn over sun (for the last 7 to 8 mo has been Saturn on sun). First Saturn pass was last June 2000 (when I first thought of quitting), then December 2000 (when I did quit), now March 1. It was make or break: taking Lotus farther, or becoming self-sufficent. We see which choice I made. Ultimately it’s about extending my OWN skills, instead of others, although my chart does have a lot with community in 10th, 11, 12 house.
Moving now (late April into May) into Uranis. Uranis is in the bottom of my chart (revolution, restless drive, visionary). Saturn has just been preparation. RADICAL SHIFT between now and March 2001.
Quothe Andrew: You will be such a different person in a year’s time–if you get involved in anything make sure that you’ll be able to get out of it by next year. Focus on your own stuff, don’t get tied down.
APRIL/MAY: restless time, edgey, may want to move on. Won’t be able to manifest things for a year anyway, so take this year to assess. Start to see shifts in thoughts: mid April through May. May be coming through other people: 1-on-1 connection, new ideas, but also self-reflection. Spend some time alone.
Look carefully at what you really want. From a very quiet space the drive for change emerges–the only way to hear it is to quiet down completely.
The temptation may be to get really active (due to restelessness), but instead move into quiet place: JOURNALING. 11th house of community and 3rd house of journals. Pull yourself out of temptation to work with social groups and more into internal space: find what you used to get from the community in yourself.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.
