Ship!
So, I’ve been thinking about how to get my computer to NYC. Shipping the computer itself is pretty cheap, it’s the monitor that’s going to screw me. At 42 pounds, my Mitsubish Diamond Plus 71 is going to cost roughtly $100 to send. A quick poke around on eBay shows that I can buy a shitty 15″ monitor for under $50. This reminds me that my CD player is broken, and that it costs me more to repair it than to just buy a new one. I hate disposable culture! It’s cheaper for me to buy a used monitor and having it shipped to NYC than it is for me to take my monitor with me. Frack. I’m thinking of just carrying my computer on the plane with me (I think it’ll fit in my carry-on suitcase).
