Still furiously at work on the book workshop. Last night I had a meeting with one of my advisors to discuss my promotional plan for my pet project, the Dr. Ruthless® self-defense book. He seemed to like much of what I’d done, and we ended the meeting talking about books and magazines.

He was horrified to hear that I consider myself a magazine person. “Don’t waste your talent on magazines!” he implored, eyebrows arching with compassion. “Books outlive you! Magazines are outdated before they even hit the newstands!”

I’ll stick that in my pipe and smoke it.
