Made it home at noon Wednesday. Left New York in the middle of a heat wave (it was 84 degrees with 80% humidity at 6am), and arrived in Seattle to find it a pleasant 78 degrees with a refreshing breeze. Heaven.

I slept for the entire flight and much of the afternoon, so I’m a little disorientated to say the least. I was woken from my death-deep afternoon nap by a pack of my New York friends calling (and shouting) to say they miss me. Aww. Why do so many of my favorite people have to be scattered all over the planet? Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Boulder, Europe…thank god for email or my heart would break.

Andreas and I have been saying our hellos after our six and a half weeks apart. Nothing like being whole again.

Meanwhile, I’m just stumbling through my mind trying to figure out what I’m doing next. I’m considering the possibility of staying in Seattle for a few months and doing some temp work at Microsoft so that I can have cash saved up for the impending move to Los Angeles. Unlike my move to San Francisco five years ago (which involved putting myself in debt to make the magic happen), this time I’ll move the smart way. And yes, I’m still trying to make Marseille happen.
