The rains have started. Last night I woke to hear the quiet sounds of water outside and, just like when I was a child, I had to open the window next to my bed so that I could feel the cool air on my face and hear the rainfall. Unfortuantely, since I live in a city, I could hear cars growling past on Madison almost as clearly as I could hear the rain, but even the cars make a different sound when it’s raining. The oft-asked question of any Seattleite is always “So, does it really rain a lot there?”
Only a city native will smile when they answer “Yes.”
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.
