One Year
Why look! My blog has reverted back to the oldskool design for its first birthday. A year ago today I started my blog. Inspired by Dr. Menlo–who had sent me his blog as a way of asking if he could write for Lotus, because yes this was when I still worked for Lotus–I set up shop at http://urbanforest.blogspot.com. There’s still a page there, but it’s just filler.
This actually isn’t my VERY first design. The VERY first design involved some pale gold and green graphics. It was pretty ugly and I can guarantee that none of you saw it, so it doesn’t count.
So hey: how about going back and reading that first post? It’s pretty funny…and shit’s changed a lot.
In the last year, this blog has…
1) Gotten its own special domain
2) Gone from an average of three readers a day (me, my dad, my friend Echo) to almost 200
3) Helped me meet lots of really cool people.
In the next year, this blog will…
1) Add a webcam courtesy of Riedling dot net
2) Redesign at least once
3) Help me get a job (one can always be hopeful!)
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.
