Wait–what?
A month or so ago, I saw that Nerve Magazine was looking for an editorial intern. I applied, because I like Nerve, and because I apply for every job I can. Yesterday, I got an email saying they wanted me to come in for an interview. I disregarded it: I’m not in NYC any more, I just applied as a long shot, I’m going to be in LA, whatever.
Then my friend Terra asked me, “Why not try it? You could at least give it a shot.”
So, just as a test, I checked in at Priceline. I tried bidding $150, a totally unheard of price for a rountrip ticket from LA to NYC.
And, um, now it looks like I’m going to NYC a week from tomorrow. For $150. For an interview with Nerve Magazine.
What is going on? Who’s life is this? Whoever’s it is, it’s awfully exciting!
