This morning I hopped off the #8 bus and crossed Fairview to head to work. As I walked across the street, a woman in a dark green Mini Cooper pulled up to the crosswalk.
Unable to contain myself, I said “Ooooooooooh!” outloud, pointed at her car twice, and then did the universal symbol for “I’m an overly-excitable dork when it comes to cute earth-friendly cars“: two thumbs up. She laughed, and I finished crossing the street — a big goofy grin on my face. I’m sure she gets it all the time, like the guy driving the Mini in this story, but the whole experience made me smile.
