Boy, this new virus just has the cutest name! Read all about it on CNN, The Guardian, and Symantec. And be careful out there!
(PS: Mac users who wish to leave gloating comments should exercise a little tactful restraint. Thank you.)
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

“Bugbear” is cute? Clearly, Ariel is not a gamer. ;> Bugbears are a (fictional) monster… do an image search on google and you’ll find all sorts of (mostly D&D) links.

Doh! I keep forgetting I can do links here now. Here, do a Google image search for bugbear.

I’ll promise not to be a smug Mac user about this, as long as you Windows users, quit Mac-bashing.
Actually, I do have a PC, but it’s purely for software development work. Email is never allowed on the PC, just because of all the viruses being so very Windows-oriented, and is picked up on one of my Macs instead.

Oh, yes, Ariel, that’s *much* cuter.
Max…you could just use Eudora, you know. ;> On the other hand, that probably means you get plenty of uninterrupted time. I work with my email client open *all day* and it can be kind of a drag to be immersed in code and then get distracted by a question from the boss. Hmmm… (=

Max, to be honest, I absolutely do NOT get the PC/Mac battle. Each platform has its strengths and weaknesses. I don’t think I’ve ever “bashed” a Mac because I don’t identify as a PC user. I’ve used both, and like both. I have a PC at home because it’s inexpensive and works just fine for what I do. What’s there to bash Macs about? “You have an expensive computer that’s better at music and design! I HATE YOU!” ?? I totally don’t get it. Nor do I care to…the day I define myself by my belongings (”Hi, I’m Ariel, a PC-using, Coke(tm)-drinking, Chevy(tm)-driving, Nike(tm)-wearing writer!”) will be a sad one for me.

I don’t really get it either… both companies (Apple/MS) do equally despicable things, and both produce *some* incredibly useful and, in some cases, usable software. As a longtime PC user, I tend to blow things up whenever I touch a Mac, but I still drool over their design and remain curious about OS X… if costs for both were equal, I’d probably have a Mac.
What’s to bash? (=
