Last night, Nancy, Dre’s mom, asked Dre how he and I were doing.
“I just have to ask,” she said to him, “because, going by Ariel’s web page, you’ve ceased to exist.”
Heh. Point taken (I honestly just typed “Take pointen,” before realizing that didn’t sound right). So, to assuage the curious (and Andreas’ mother) here’s some accumulated Dre info:
Andreas and I are reading a book aloud to each other.
Andreas has gone up a pant size since moving to LA. (So have I.)
A few weeks ago, Andreas drove 20 minutes north to the music studio he is renting, only to realize that he’d forgotten his keys. He did this twice in a five day period.
The fact that booze is sold in grocery stores here in California has made Andreas like cocktails almost as much as beer.
Andreas plays soccer every Saturday with a bunch of friends and South Americans. He has not missed a single week since I moved here, despite illness, hangovers, and a busy schedule.
Andreas has gotten really into cooking. He likes to pick out recipes and make fancy stuff. This evolution has been heartily applauded by yours truly.
The biggest argument Andreas and I have gotten into lately was over Washington Mutual’s new customer checking account policies. And yes, it really was that stupid. And no, it really wasn’t much of an argument at all.
This week, Dre worked three 12-hour days.
I wouldn’t have to type all this if Andreas had a blog. He asked me to set one up for him, and I did, but he never once used it.
If you want to hear more about Dre, I would recommend e-mailing him suggesting he blog. I may be Director of Logistics, but I am not (usually) VP of Communications.

Is sounds like Andreas has had a really healthy move! He is keeping busy, getting out, and trying new things! I am thrilled for his new adventure!
I am always curious how Dre is doing Ariel, but realize this is YOUR blog! Not that it wouldn’t be nice to hear about Dre, but it almost makes me happy you aren’t like a few of my friends who live and die for the next moment they get to talk/obsess about their boyfriends life. Too bad he isn’t into blogging more as it would be a really interesting way to see the dynamics of my favorite couple! *grin*

i try not to write about my s.o. too much on my page - lots of people who read it don’t realize that i have a live-in man (unless they’ve looked at the photos section) i just like to keep that stuff separate, you know? and plus, he reads it…. so…. you know.

That was actually what I was curious about [thanks leblanc for reminding me] How often does Dre read your blog?

Unless I ask him to, or electrolicious happens to be up on my screen when he passes my computer, Andreas never reads my blog. He has reasons he could explain himself … if he ever read my blog.

loves+journals.. a weird combination. d3 recently decided he didn’t want to be the “third dave” in cyberspace. =P so now i have to change how i refer to him. he does read it, though, even though he’s not online often. i think i might like it better if he didn’t..
