[Update: went to beach. Sat on rocks and watched a pod of dolphins play. Watched couples of all gender combinations unabashadly make out on the sand. A good afternoon.]

Hehe, your birthday and my birthday are only 11 days apart. Your dad’s birthday and my dad’s birthday are only 3 days apart. But the years are different in both cases. When is your mom’s birthday?

Interestingly, given Tia’s comment, I’ve been studying the shape of the number 60 as a way of making friends with it. It’s so nice and round, so sensual, and has such integrity! So, hooray for 60! As Old Smitty used to say, “time is a figment of the imagination.” Nonetheless, I liked all the birthday calls and toasts yesterday.
