Dre: Well, when I’m flying, I’m usually totally out of control.
Dad: Even when just levitating.
Dre: Sometimes I’ve got a bit more of a hang on things when I’m levitating…but not always.
Dad: I used to have very little control over levitation, but it’s improved over the years.
Dre: Yeah, I think I just need to have faith that I can do it.
Dad: You can!
They were discussing dream-flying as a metaphor for self-realization, but I think the conversation stands by itself pretty well, too.

In my dreams, flying is easy. Just pump your legs as though you were on a bicycle. The problem for me is landing. I come in too fast. When I wake up I have the afteraffect of having sore feet. Weird.

I love dream flying! I am often in very heroic adventures when I fly. In one dream I jumped off a very high mountain in pursuite of ninjas, then I glided through a Chinese city to find them. In all my flying dreams I am really more like gliding, I have to start somewhere high, but as long as I keep my body spreadout I can stay up for a long time. Another favorite dream is swimming with whales and dolphins - no problem breathing! Dreams are great!
