Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
Today was hard. I was hungry for a lot of the day, and that makes things difficult. I think the problem was not having a bottle of good juice at work, a problem which has been remedied for today.
JEFB:
Orange.
Lunch:
Celery salad with apples and sprouts. Banana. Pear. Raw bar.
Dinner:
Baked Yam “fries” with guacamole dip, artichoke, baked garlic (not very good), and strawberry-coconut-pineapple smoothies.

You can bake (the yam “fries”) on this diet?

Absolutely! While raw foods are emphasized (and encouraged to be at LEAST half your food intake), there’s nothing wrong with baking. You can’t cook in oil (therefore, the quote marks around “fries”), but you can cook.

Have you tried fresh carrot juice…I mean, as you juice du jour? I will admit, I absolutely look forward to drinking carrot juice, not only because of it’s wicked good taste, but it’s chocked full of vitamins and such…try it, you’ll like it!

Oh yes. We have roughly 30 lbs of carrots in the fridge, and have carrot juice regularly. The only thing: it’s high in sugar! Funny, huh?
