We DID make our own baba ganoush, using a friend's very loosey-goosey recipe, which I have attached here. Good luck! :)
-AMS

BABA GANOUSH

Get a big eggplant.

Stick it with a fork.

Bake it for about 45 min. at 375 F.

Caramalize some onions and garlic in olive oil.

Add cumin. (Look, if you expect a measurement, I'm not your guy. I understand that white people even have little spoons to measure "pinch" and such. My tastes in food run spicy and not subtle. I tend to measure with my hands. Moreover, I rarely taste while cooking, which scares my lifepartner.) Maybe you want more spices. Okay -- consider mint, thyme, cilantro. You know -- savory.

When the egplant collapses, take it out of the oven.

The skin will peel off nicely. Dump the innards into the onion mixture.

Stir it around.

Now, if you want, you can soupify it with a hand blender.

Now, add in some lime juice. Yeah, lemon juice will work, but lime makes it taste like a rarity.

How much? Less than a quarter cup, I'd guess. Just splash it in until the consistency is right.

Do you make your own baba ganoush? I’ve been hunting for a decent recipe. All the stuff in stores here is full of weird stuff. (The first ingredient listed on the tub I currently have in my fridge is mayonnaise!)

It's not THAT dramatic. I don't want to paint the cleanse as some sort of life-altering experience, some process that forever changes how you feel. It's not THAT dramatic. During, and immediately following cleansing, I sleep about 7 hours, as compared to 8 to 8.5 normally.
