The food’s been a little uninspiring lately. Following recipes was eating up hours a day (and involved even more time in preparation, and for trips to the store for special supplies), and so Dre and I seem to have reverted to our usual veggie goulash tendancies. Cleanse-approved food, but definitely nothing exciting.
I’ve been learning to eat through my nose. Well, not actually eat, but enjoy foods simply by smelling them. Today at work, a box of goodies arrived from somewhere, and I carefully smelled several of them. They were quite “tasty”!
…Is this how anorexics feel?
JEFB
None! This made me cranky.
Lunch
Boring salad, apple, and two raw bars. I love the raw bars.
Dinner
Fruit salad, half an avocado, dry-cooked veggie goulash. Pineapple after for dessert.

so i’m violently allergic to all dairy products and i manage the cheese and dessert cravings by smelling other people’s food. i will unashamedly ask dining partners to pass me their plates in restaurants so i can take a whiff of some particularly decadent chocolate gooeyness. it always makes me feel a little creepy, but whatever works, no?

That might be similar to how anorexics feel. Except the really sick ones won’t even allow themselves to smell food for fear of inhaling some vaporous calories. Seriously.
