This week Andreas and I are starting a month-long cleanse. We’ve both done this before (most recently for me in April of 2001), but we’re both excited about doing it again. We’ve got the juicer warmed up, have picked out exciting all-veggie recipes (no grains! no salt! no oils! no fat! just veggies!), and even ordered one of these things so we can make raw zuccini “pasta”. Mucoid plaque be-gone!
Starting a new job and a cleanse almost simultaneously is a little daunting.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

Yeah!!! Good luck on the cleanse!! Having Dre do it with you again will make it much easier I am sure! Make sure you keep track of all the plaque removed in feet and update us!!! Many readers will be shocked how much you can get rid of in a months time!

I haven’t used my Green Life Juicer in about two years! I’d like to do this but I have to find the time; bills and laundry come first, then we shall see where that juicer’s been hiding.

Terra: It’ll be about $200 for the month. DC: Mucoid plaque is nasty rubbery gunk that builds up on the inside of your intestines. By doing this cleanse, you “expell” (that’s a euphamism) many feet of this gut-lining.

This sounds appealing (I mean the result, not the process) but also quite daunting. Have you read the book? Poking around the website is a bit overwhelming — so many products! How many do you really need?
Also, good luck with the job! It sounds like you found a perfect fit for you.

a whole month is longer than i’ve ever gone. i’ve never taken any of pills or supplements but at least once every 3-4 months i go on a vegan/whole/raw food diet for about a week, and that works pretty well. good luck! it’s hard but worth it!!

Glace, all the stuff you need is in what’s called a “cleansing kit.” And yeah, I’ve read the book. It’s a bit woo-woo for my taste, but is good for morale boosting.
And yeah, Amy, a month is hardcore. Thankfully, it’s easier with a buddy.

There is no way I could do that for a month. I am in awe of your ambition (and, in a month, I’ll be in awe of your success)!

don’t want to say: The plaque that is removed from the walls of your intestines comes out with your poop. It is usually dark and takes on a rubbery looks, making it easy to distinquish from your poop.
The word “poop” is bothering me now! Thanks!
