Me: Yeah, I’ve been good: flossing everyday!
Co-worker: Yeah?
Me: Yes! You know what made all the difference?
Co-worker: What?
Me: I got this awesome dental floss. It’s called Glide.
Co-worker: Uh, I don’t think that’s dental floss.
Me: Sure it is. Glide! It’s like a ribbon, so it just glides between your teeth!
Co-worker: I think you’re thinking of a different product.
Me: No — I … Oh. Oh! OH MY GOD! You’re RIGHT!
Then I did something that it’s hard to make me do: I blushed.
(For what it’s worth, the dental floss I was thinking of is Oral-B Satin. Satin, Glide…who can keep track?)

I thought there was a floss called Glide too so then that would make two of us crazy…

There is glide floss, as well as glide lube. Just be sure about which goes where!

ah-HA! So I wasn’t crazy, although I still did misremember the name of my floss. I think I used to have Glide, and stuck its name onto Satinfloss. Huh. I’ll have to tell the coworker.

Me too: before Glide floss, it would hurt and the floss would shred, even if waxed.
Consumer Tip: Glide/Satin are expensive. Try Rite-Aid Premium floss: about half the cost, and just as good (IMHO).

As I was reading the dialogue, I knew exactly what floss you were talking about and didn’t think anything of it. So don’t feel too bad!

Just for the record, I have some Glide floss in my purse right now. I don’t use it much (ewww, flossing at my desk? No thanks!), but my co-workers ask for floss all the time.
I like the mint-flavored cotton string stuff myself…very nice.
