Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
Over a year ago, when I lived behind Madison Market, I bought three pints of this really chi-chi overpriced french lemonade. It came in these cool glass bottles — you know the type, with the little ceramic and rubber stopper that locks down with a piece of metal?
Lemme tell ya: those three bottles have become indespensible as the “around the house drinking water” bottles. Love them. The labels have long since peeled off, and whenever I use them to pour water for visitors, everyone says, “Ooh, fancy.”
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, is in bookstores now.

I bought some of this (from Cost Plus Imports) so my husband could use the bottles for making beer or mead. otherwise not worth the price, I agree.

I just bought two bottles of Grolsch beer for the same reason! Except mine are for lemon and lime juice.
