You may want to be careful, baby pigeons bring mites. Mites are like fleas except like red dots. When they get into your apt they breed like crazy. We had the same thing happen on my old balcony. We ended up having to bomb the apartment. Anyway I think my sister now throws the eggs off the side…thats good cause i don’t live there anymore.

I suspect (don’t really know–never raised pigeons) that you’ll find J. and child more adaptive than you expect. Very urban, social birds, easily domesticated, I’m told. Besides, it’s YOUR porch, and she needs to share a little. So, valiantly move beyond the purely ornithological and into the teleological! You’re a part of her process. Have a ritual, state intentions, and relax.

But it’s an apartment balcony…we have no hose nozzle. I did think about a contraption with some tubing and a funnel…sort of a like a plant watering beer bong. But that’s pretty time intensive.
