Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
So, myself and two editor friends are scheming on a new nanopublishing music project. We’ve got everything in line to get started — except for we can’t fucking think of a domain name. With arielmeadow.com and electrolicious.com, I was able to get exactly the domain names I wanted. This time, we’re suffering the angst of wanting domain names that are taken.
And that’s why I’m entreating you, my beloved readers, to pitch in ideas for the new domain name. The concept: online music blog-magazine, focused on electronic music, but with other genres covered as well. Words to play with: music, soundtrack, headphones, noise, electonic music, reviews, writing, posts, listen, hear, etc.
Have an idea? Check your domain name on dotster to see if they’re available. And remember: I’m the one who named my rats based on reader suggestions, so have at it!
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, is in bookstores now.

Keep ‘em coming, gang! A note of clarification: this is not a vanity project, so it doesn’t need to make any mention of me or electrolicious. In fact, I think my fellow editors would be rather offended if it did.

Sure it is, Adelina, but remember that this is a DOMAIN name, and that buzzed.com, listen.com, groove.com, and most of the other suggestions you listed are taken! This was the frustrating part of the process…coming up with a good name, only to see that it’s taken.

i’d change my (barely there) webpage if you want wordwaves.com (it’s available too).
i think something more obviously about music should be there. here are some more:
beatselect.com
wordsonsound.com
musicforeyes.com
yoursoundtrack.com
postedbeat.com
foundbeats.com
writenoise.com
soundrev.com
ok that’s enough. they’re all available. i like beatselect, because i meant it to be beats elect, but it looks like beat select. good luck.
