Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

my experience with phish phans is that the bigger the fan, the fewer the baths. dmb fans have a similar rep, but most of them are ex frat boys and sorority girls and just closet hippies and occasional tokers. bathing is definetly a regular event.

The valley spirit, the Great Mother:
Her doorway is a chasm from which
Heaven and Earth came forth.
Flowing like honey
She is always present and inexhaustible.
Quivering like a drop of mercury
Dancing on the lips of passion
With the breath,…. with the breath
inside the breath
Perpetually wise…
Rivers run deep within
And I feel you…

i have to agree with the whole “too big for me” sentiment - which is why PHish is the ONLY band i’ll still take the time to haul my ass to a multi-thousand person venue for. i absolutely will not go into a venue that big for anyone else.
In Vegas, it’s totally different cuz there’s no traffic really since everyone walks from teh strip or takes a shuttle, and you’ve been at the casino all night, and it’s warm ,and everyone is going to friggin PARTY afterward - so i wish YOU could have been THERE instead for the friggin Reba and Antelope…..
hope it was worth it anyway!
