I have to know more about that cottage! Do you still have a way to contact the owner? Wasn’t one of you going to Evergreen while you lived there?

Fish: I’m not still in touch with the landlord/architect/builder of the Hippyshack2000, but my mother is. (She liked our house so much that she commissioned our landlord, Robin, to build a cabin for her.) And yes: we lived there while Andreas was finishing up at Evergreen. The house was stone’s throw from campus.
db, I made some tweaks in my MT settings (like taking the archive links off each page), but to no avail. Then last night things strangely sped up. I’m not sure what explains it. Must have been server-side issues.

just watched my fave movie of the year, Dogtown and Z-boys.
Justa wondering if you live in the Dogtown section of Venice?

Nope, I live a ways south of the dogtown neighborhood. “Dogtown” was southern Santa Monica/Northern Venice. I live in Southern Venice/Nortern Marina Del Ray. Venice is tiny, though…so I’m not far from that area.
