Hi,
Still enjoy my nearly daily visits to your web page.
Now, in my life at the age of 18, I decided to make it a goal to be able to TALK intelligently (thought broadly) about any given subject for 10 minutes. And although I can't say I've been vastly successful in the scope of that goal, I can say, that when I hit the 10 minute mark, hoooooboy, what I don't know I sure an mot scared to make up. It is a fun excercise seeing how far you can go before someone finally calls you out ....

take care!
Good answer! I'm going to assume this was for my question, or we ride a scarily similar wavelength.

Ack. Certainly not. But then again: who thinks copywriters are anything other than hacks anyway? It's not like you read the back of a cereal box and mistake it for the great american novel, eh?

Yeah, but...it will only be fantastic to people who don't know the subject matter any better than you do. I have the exact same ability, and bullshitted (bullshat? :) my way through almost every English paper I ever wrote.

I saw the other end of this once while watching Charlie Rose. If you don't know a subject he's interviewing all that well, he seems super-smart and well-informed. Then one day, he interviewed Tori Amos, a subject I know a ridiculous amount about, and I could see right through his "mad skilz". *shrug*

My advice: Don't ever think you're fooling _everybody_.
