An interesting point is how you refered to "Europe". Andreas used to live in Germany , right ? And after a taste of France the both of you fantasize about "the other side". From my perspective those are 2 very different countries. Just like you make a clear distinction between LA and Seattle, a distinction I wouldn't see so clearly (both are in the US, period).
In "my side" we usually love the &lt;i&gt;idea&lt;/i&gt; of Europe but still cherish our national identities. I guess we need outsiders to remind us we not so different of our neighbourgs than we love to think.
Anyway, it's grey and chilly today in Paris, enjoy the sun !</description>
