i had to have all four of my wisdom teeth out when i was seventeen; each one was impacted to the point where they recommended going under for just one of them, but since i'd never been knocked out before, i opted for local anesthetic. i think the funnest part was when they had to sand down my gums to get to one of the lower ones; fun fun fun.

i was out of school for three weeks, which really sucked because the way my school worked, you had a four-month semester, then a month of taking just one course, then another four-month semester; i wound up totally missing the one-course month.

as for recovery, my sister and mother helped nurse me back to health, for which i am eternally grateful; it sounds like dre's got that covered for you. i also watched a lot of tv; there had been a recent marathon of the 70's sitcom soap on television, and i'd taped it and watched it. of course, knowing that you don't have a television out there, i'm not sure if that recommendation will do anything for you ...

so, um, yeah, that's what i did. i just hope that sharing my story helps you feel better, even if i feel like i don't really know how to advise you. (sorry, my mind's jumbled due to my finals here.)
