Boy, it’s been a busy wordy week. I’ve spent my days doing my usual copywriting for my dotcom employer, then I’ve been coming home to work on copy for the Junior Police Academy (yes, me! Writing about bomb squads and the DEA!) while Andreas works on some freelance writing work at his desk.
During my down time, I blog, squeezing a few more words out of my strangely always word-saturated brain.
Tonight, Andreas and I celebrated a break from our moonlighting freelance word work, and went to go see a movie. About words. It was called Spellbound and I recommend it highly.
It’s ironic that, with so many underemployed former-English majors out there, a sociology major is spending 75 hours a week doing nothing but molest words. What does it mean?
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

It means all of those English majors are trying to get a job at the restaurant I work at. Sadly, they don’t have don’t have the common sense to edit their applications for misspelled words such as “restaurant” and “experience”. Those are the 2 most common spelling mistakes on incoming applications.
