I like threading because, at least at Rozina's, it's super fast and super cheap. Like waxing, however, I think the technique is all about the asthetician performing it. If they're good, it's super fast and cheap and about the same as waxing, pain-wise. If they suck, it's not a good experience.

I had my lip threaded once, and it was really wrong feeling afterwards. Like a little hairless lizard on my face. I didn't like it.

I think your hair does come back faster with threading but I haven't had any problems with the redness for days afterwards. I think I found the key though... After my first experience I ended up touching my eyebrows to inspect and that was the wrong thing to do. I was however very pleased with how fast it was and the quality. The next time I went, I applied some witch hazel before and after the "procedure" which really seemed to help with the redness/irritation factor.

I will say - having your lip threaded is like torture though!

oh, and i had threading done once. i wandered into a place on Telegraph and asked for a wax; they plopped me into the chair and took out some thread. i was like WTF? never heard of it before, and the lady assured me "so much better than waxing. no mess. fast." never again. besides it stinging like a bitch, my brows were RED for like, 2 days, and the hair grew back a lot faster than waxing. you like it?

yes, lucky you weren't hurt. i'm trying to get used to riding a bike in the city, as my spill on monday proves. i've never had a bike on pavement before, having grown up in the Great North Woods on an unpaved two-track, and i find it very scary riding around in traffic. i can't believe some of the aggressive bikers around here, riding along the major through-streets weaving in and out of traffic. they're nuts!
