After The Huntington we escaped into the air conditioning of a movie theater to see Legally Blonde 2. It was campy and entertaining, but a bit of a disappointment. Really, I just went for Jennifer Coolidge, of whom I cannot get enough. That said, the best line in the movie went to some uncredited extra: “It looks like a rat.”
Then it was to downtown with friends including Tha Roman for a free outdoor concert with Dakah. What a cool thing to see…a full hip-hop orchestra, complete with violinists and cellists fully rocking out. A spectacle, to be sure.
Meanwhile, Andreas and I continue to read Harry Potter outloud. Everyone else seems to be priding themselves on just how quickly the read it, but I’m much more a fan of savoring a book aloud.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

I tried to go slow, but I couldn’t stop myself. I forced the boi to stay up late reading with me three nights straight by threatening to read ahead without him. Now I’m sad that I’m done, though…
