I asked the invitation-sender to clarify if I knew him, and if the email was spam. He claimed it was not spam, and that he was “just being nice.” When I pressed further, inquring if the party was free (which it would be if he was “just being nice”) he admitted that no, “club policy” meant that it was not free.
My first Friendster spam! Can others be far behind? And why can’t you block users who you don’t want contacting you?

Ariel- please feel free to forward my contact info to such generous parties…especially in the light of the fact that I just had to change my e-maild addy for spam-esque reasons…all I ask is the nicety of an evening of free drinks to go with the invasion of serenity of my in-box…
