Thanks, Shelley. We’ll see what happens. Another important issue for us: proximity to free childcare. Remember, I’m thinking two years in advance here, and being in Seattle (ie closer to my family) would be a big boon.

two things.
1. i am BIG proponent of home ownership. its the answer to many issues surrounding living in general. both physical and philosophical. (as an aside, being married makes borrowing money easier…)
2. is your man handy? i wasnt, or am not, and yet, i bought a used ‘build your own home’ book and did just that. i built a 200k home for about 90k. imagine that! and you are guaranteed to LOVE it when it is done.
