Other way around: "wherefore" means "why". E.g., "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" means "Why -- of all the people that I could have fallen in love with -- do you have to be Romeo?"

*gasp!* Mrs. Ben Sunshine! Yes, I know Ben. Very early on in my rave journalism career, I got he and Benji confused. It was criminal. I was so deeply ashamed that I printed up little correction cards and inserted them by hand, one by one, into all 400 issues of the magazine that I had to distribute in Seattle.

And yes, I can recommend an LA stylist. Not as good as Vain, but the folks at Paper Scissors Rock are prety good. Here's the info, just so you have it handy when you need it:

1711 Pacific Ave Ste A,
Venice, CA 90291-4119
(310) 399-7625

at our joint welcome/goodbye party, i whine to my friend chaya, "chaya, who am i going to get to cut my hair and do up the girliness when i move to LA?" and she says, not sloshing the mojito even a little, "i dunno, but you should ask Ariel." i asked, "ariel who writes the stories?" and she says, "yeah. she moved to LA." and then you turn up in Matt's LiveJournal. and now here you are going to Vain, where for four years i made a monthly trip to get beauty-ized. then i mention all of this to my darling husband, ben sunshine and he says "oh yeah, i think i know ariel from back in the day." so while i've never met you, everyone i know knows you and it's weirding me out!
