In fact, when touch tone phones came out (how old am I?), I used to try to make up songs with the tones until one day - I actually dialed a number far far far away.....and my dad explained to me that it was costing them a lot of money for me to be composing songs using the phone. Also, I was baby sitting a little boy (2 years old) who LOVED the phone too. He would pick up the receiver and just chat chat chat away - laughing and mimicking his mother and I. Then, I received a return phone call from the 911 operator saying that they had just received a call from our house and wanted to know if there was an emergency...oops. I was fascinated by the phone when I was little.
