Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
Last night I had plans (after dinner with my mother, aunts, and grandmother) to go out with some friends. I decided to take a tiny snooze at 9pm, and woke up four hours later, realizing that it clearly was not meant to be. Woke up at 10am this morning. 13 hours of sleep = me clearly exhausted from a crazy busy week.
And to think, Dre and I had tickets to go to NYC this weekend. HA! I’m sad I had to cancel the trip, but it was the smart decision.
My head is still in a weird place, I think in part because I’m still drifting. I’m such a homebody, and not having a home puts my sanity in check. I’m keeping it together just fine, but it’ll be nice to get into the new apartment.
Although, even then it won’t quite be home because Andreas (and all our furniture) will not be there until 11/12 or so.
Ah, domestic purgatory. What a strange place!
PS: For those interested in follow-ups to T.’s wedding, she’s posted comments in response to both my posts about the ceremony!

Ariel, remember me? One of Tia’s friends from France… Christ almighty! I had no idea she got married! And I just talked to her two weeks ago! I can’t believe I found out through your blog. That’s nuts. I’m gonna have to give her a ring. Man, I’m totally in shock.
