I have to say that this validates a feeling that’s been itching me ever since I graduated from college and started working full-time, two years ago. At 24, I cannot even begin to comprehend being married and getting ready to have my first child, as my mother did. I do not feel like an “adult” most of the time, even though I have a very adult life…bills, debt, job, rent. As I become less dependent on my parents, I become more dependent on my friends…

i’m with nancy. i sure hope the 30s are the new 20s, because my 20s are almost over and i’ve accomplished almost nothing.

I remember reading the NYT article that the book grew from last year, and I find it a fascinating and attractive alternative/companion lifestyle. I’m going to see him read tonite at the Coliseum in NYC, so I’ll let you know how it is.
