I need your help: what is your favorite Electrolicious post ever?
Think back. Take your time. Peek through the archives. When you find your favorite, simply leave a comment with its title.
Caveat: It can’t be one of the posts already in the Favorites category.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.
You're reading a page from the archives. Check the homepage for current content.

Ah. I see you appreciate brevity then. Excellent.

I like reading your site and all, but are people religious enough about what you have to say to actually have a favorite? That seems a bit much. Sorry.

I don’t think I could pick a favorite post that’s kind of hard. Could you? I will say that I enjoy most of the narrative non-fiction section and I’m sure my favorite is somewhere in there. I’ll try to narrow it down.

Under the Cleanse category. Days 17-25 or so. Anything mentioning flatus, mucoid plaque, and colonics. Of course, you could guess those would be my favorites!

Hmmmm I can’t seem to find it now but sometime in the last month and a half, you posted about an ex-bf who was heavy into drugs and piercings during your college days. I wish I could find it because it was fascinating and shed a little light on what has made you Ariel.

I don’t have the time to go back through all your posts, but I really loved the posts with the pictures of your old house in the forest. I remember thinking, “If I lived there, my life would be good.”

Actually, I *do* have a favourite - it took me a little while to find it but here it is:
It’s your post entitled “Dreamlife” (http://electrolicious.com/archives/2003_09.html#004310) but I always think of it as “That Reconstituted Baby post.” I’m not sure why I find it so hilarious, but I do!

oh no! really? hmmm, i can’t decide so i’ve created categories as my attempt:
best example of visual narrative: http://electrolicious.com/arch.....tml#004019
best introspective: http://electrolicious.com/arch.....tml#004130 (of course the fact that it ended up plagarized is also a good indication)
best rant: http://electrolicious.com/arch.....tml#004307
best retrospective: http://electrolicious.com/arch.....tml#004317
i may be making up for my blogging hiatus by this superfuous comment, but please cut me some slack, the hiatus was involuntary.

Amusing and hits on a couple different levels.

I have two:
1. The one where you caught “A” making crop circles in the air without him knowing you were watching.
and
2. The one where you were explaining how you were getting dressed and “A” was watching you. You asked him, in not so many words, what he was looking at and he responded by saying he was watching you because you were beautiful.
Yes, I’m a sap.

I’d have to say it was the one about the scab coming off in the mosh pit, though i can’t seem to find it.

Perhaps you need a button below each post that reads “vote this post as a favorite”. That way you could play the numbers game and keep track of big hitters. This would tell you what people are digging, furthermore providing *keys* to future writing material outside of your blog! *wink*

Danger, Pill Robinson! Danger!
By no means does this choice indicate that I like seeing my beloved Ariel suffer. I just laughed aloud for about five minutes when I read the word “sphincterescense.” I still laugh to myself about it. You have the best way of describing things!

Thus far, I have two favorites: the first being the story story about how you were in Life magazine caught “swooning” at a Phish concert.
And the second - when you had to take the Honda in for maintenance and the mechanic straight-up BEGGED you not to drive it to L.A. Happy people stories, rah rah!
