I concur. Using rubber gloves has been a veritable godsend for gettng those dishes done. My only pet peeve is when you're only 35% finished and a glove snags on the sharp tip of a knife, or the ridges on the juice squeezer, and all of a sudden you have a tiny tear in your boiling water shield.

The dishes still need to get done, so you press on, but you keep being stung by small bits of hothot water and when the mess is over, you are pulling soggy fingers out of your once-intact gloves. Better hope you remember to grab more gloves at the store before your next round of dishes are due.

i started using those last year, and they did make a world of difference - especially that you can use super hot water and things get cleaner way faster. i'll have to try the lotion trick.

I've been thinking about getting those, since I can never get the water hot enough when washing dishes. I'm going to have to now, since the idea of soft, toasty and squishy hands is just TOO good to resist. ;)

I've always felt the same way about rubber gloves, but the boi suggested I stop using them. It turns out I'm less likely to notice that the dishes are still greasy if I'm wearing them.
