Summer of 2001, I attended the Columbia Publishing Course. Not infrequently, I notice that someone will find Electrolicious while searching for CPC online. So, I organized all the related posts into a Columbia Publishing Course category.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

If you have the resources and desire to move to NYC and work an entry-level publishing industry job (ie, editorial assistant, publicity assistant, circulation assistant, etc), then yes: CPC is worth it.

Also, financial aid is available. I don’t think a lot of people apply for it, b/c I did on a whim and got every penny I asked for.

Interesting, Liz. I was declined as well and am still paying off my loan.
