One of my favorite parts about the Warmies process is when I wrap the Warmies up in heart-covered tissue paper, tuck a poem inside, and write the address on the envelope. Writing addresses on envelopes gives me deep satisfaction, and reminds me of when I had so many pen-pals that I actually drew up my own version of a spreadsheet to help me keep track of them all.
I also like that my local mailing place is called, “That Store.” I go down to That Store and mail my Warmies off to their new owners. You know. That Store.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

I like That Store; it’s been very handy for me over the years. The stuff beyond PO and packages has changed slightly over the years through different ownership — they used to have craft and sewing notions on the second floor!

I’ve been addressing stacks of envelopes for stuff I sold on Ebay. Writing with a pen makes my hand hurt!

And Ariel has some very beautiful hand-writing too! There’s nothing like that little note that she writes out for the personal touch!
