hey the line about “I make great peanut butter and jelly sandwiches” is a reference to the Count on seseame street. i just relized this so i’m telling everyone. don’t laugh if ya’ll already figured that out.

and, without even listening to the album (i’m at work, cursing i didn’t bring it with me today), i automatically get “spread” stuck in my head.

ah, genius.

i CANNOT wait for the funk tribute with ‘kast, earth,wind&fire, P-Funk, etc. at the grammy’s! after getting a does of P-Funk down in miami, that’ll be some interesting stuff.

While I agree that Van Helsing’s probably just a reference to the classic (what was the ‘Duckula counterpart called? Van Gooseling?) I wouldn’t put it past those sneaky marketing piglets to slip it in on purpose… other recent eyebrow-raisers: Alicia Keys has the audacity to ask “Can you hear me now?” wihle on her cel phone in her recent hit, and Jewel came out with “Intuition” - along side a simultaneaous endorsement for ‘lady razors’ of the same name!

Its enough to make you fkking paranoid.

Hmm, so I guess my cynical thought is that it’s a movie tie-in (as in Dre’s track “Love Hater“) … but Donut is right: it could genuinely be a literary reference. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if the song is included on the soundtrack when it comes out.
