When did you get it?
Fall of 1994. Amusingly, when I got it, I remember saying to my friend Dani, “Can you get me set up with Udub email? I feel like I’m totally lagging behind technology here!”
How many email addresses do you have currently?
Two main accounts, one for business/personal and one Yahoo account for spam, newsletters, and other internet fucking about. I have probably 10 forwarding accounts to help me manage my mail.
What’s the oldest email address you have now?
I’ve had my Yahoo account since 1998.

If you’re *really* feeling adventurous, head on over to groups.google.com. Search on your email address, and tons of memories will come flooding back.
Apparently, for some reason, my first newsgroup posting ever was to comp.virus.

Brian, I did that a couple years ago when google first bought Deja.
Only found a couple old ones, but they were from ‘95 and revolved around Phish, Dave Matthews.

1st email: dee@u.washington.edu, fall of 1993 at UW. I can’t believe there was a time where *I* gave *you* geek encouragement!
I’ve had my yahoo since around 98 or so (i think) and that’s still my primary. highstream is the ISP of the moment, and hotmail is the addy i use when i know entering my email will generate hordes of spam.
