		<description>I've actually been thinking about writing an article similar to this for some time, and your link is goading me into finally doing it.  While I think I can bang it out in the next day or two, in short, I advocate the exact opposite approach to what Erin suggests; she supports planning bottom-up - starting with the small, immediate stuff and building towards big goals - whereas I've come to believe top-down - figuring out the long term / big picture stuff that's important and working backwards - gives you a much better chance of ending up where you want to be.  

I'll get crackin' on the article asap.</description>
