Yesterday at my onsite copywriting gig, a tester said something mildly lewd. He felt the need to apologize to me, presumably because I’m a woman and therefore delicate or something. (I am the only woman in the office, other than the founder of the company.)
I said, “Jeez, you don’t have to apologize to ME. I’m normally the one offending people.”
Him: “Really? You’re more the quiet type, though.”
!!!
I RELISH that there is at least one (clearly uninformed) person on this planet who thinks Ariel = that quiet girl. Rare delicate pleasures.
Also, perhaps proof of how distant I’ve kept myself from the gig.
