One of the rats seemed to be dieing. She was oozing grossness from her mouth. She had glassed over eyes and made strange “WHAAAAAK” noises. It turned out she just had food stuck in her throat and it took her a while to dislodge it. She’s fine now.
Yesterday, I heard someone limping from across the street.
Have I ever mentioned that I used to have Sally Jessy Raphael glasses?
Last night I heard a fantastically rocking version of “Staying Alive.” It was, however, overshadowed by a song called “Shiny Robot Spider Egg.”
I finished my book proposal and sent it in today.
I own the best tweezers on the planet. Others agree.
Is it already Wednesday?
I’m leaning towards attending the Washington caucus this weekend. I think I’ll be stumping for Edwards. I feel like I’m unqualified to attend the caucus; my primary motivation to support Edwards is because he does not look like Sam the Eagle and seems real nice.
I should probably get out of the house.
Heidi mailed me her old laptop. TC is helping me rebuild it, in exchange for a lot of beer. This does not minimize costs, but will enable me to work outside the house (see former item).
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

if i was old enough to vote (my 18th birthday is 2 weeks after the november election), i’d vote for edwards too!
wesley clark looks like a pretty good looking old guy but he doesn’t seem to be doing so well. so my next choice is edwards cuz he’s not ugly and floppy like kerry and not thicknecked like dean.

So what happened to your support of Kucinich? I remember when you had the link button to his campaign site on the right of the page, but I don’t see it there anymore …

Sean, Kucinich is just barely still in the race. That’s what happened to my support of him. Within the Washington caucus system, if your candidate doesn’t have 15% of the group’s support, then you have to vote for someone else.
And Katherine, they are bent-tip tweezers from Sephora in Marseille.

Re: Kucinich, the 15% rule is how the Iowa caucuses worked as well, and Kucinich was still able to get delegates there in spite of his low poll numbers. Especially if you’re in a more urban area right now, Kucinich’s support will be stronger; in fact, Kucinich and Edwards had a kind of “gentlemens’ agreement” in Iowa where they swapped delegates where each candidate’s support would be stronger (Kucinich in urban areas, Edwards in rural areas). Besides, with Edwards’ win in SC, I doubt he’ll miss the second round anywhere, so you can stump for Kucinich in the first round, then if he doesn’t get enough support you can always move over to Edwards in the second.

ariel– it’s been a dog’s age since i’ve been in touch (though i do see terra from time to time), but i’m recently returned from stumping for edwards in nh (feels like recently, at least)– and i think he’s great. in the race for the right reasons, scores high on the connects-with-voters polls, is a media fave and has been touted as (whether or not this is a compliment) “the greatest politician of his generation.” anyhow, i’m sure this is too late but good luck with the book proposal and all. cheers.
