For what it’s worth, the girl in the pictures is artist Leslie Hall, who (I assume) knows full well how ridiculous the photos are. I think they actually grew out of the June & Boone Huxley Project, a series of costumed photos all taken at a Walmart photo studio. See:

OMG. i sure hope it’s a joke. it reminds me of being a kid in the 80s in the midwest, hanging out at the mall….. i can’t believe she’s able to keep a straight face. and wait!! there’s a movie???? a must see, i’m sure!!!
