Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
While digging through my archives for more link rot, I found this gem of a photo.
Thoughts: wow, that dog was pink. And wow, I forgot that I ever had a tan. Winter in Seattle does that to a person. THEN AGAIN! People in LA just loved to compliment my un-sun-weathered skin, so I suppose it’s a trade off. I will look young and sickly green-pale forEVER!
That said: I do not think Seattle has any pink dogs.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

does that qualify as a “tan?” i think you are as pink as the dog!
seattle is better for you than LA. sure, both places will leave you be depressed throughout your life. but since skin cancer wont get you by 45, in seattle you will be depressed longer.

that little gap between your front teeth is the sexiest thing, i swear.

i agree with Dori that tooth gaps and funky crooked teeth are always the cutest things ever. also: i’m willing to bet there is a pink dog somewhere in seattle. It seems like tiny dogs are the newest hipster accessory, from daschunds to toy poodles to mini grayhounds to chihuahas. Outside of Top Pot a few weeks ago I saw a very tall skinny hipster boy in a cabby hat, suit coat and white belt, walking a tiny pug. and I have seen numerous hipster girls with dogs in their purses. and here in Portland I saw a woman with a toy poodle all dressed up on two different occasions, one day wearing a leather motorcycle gangster outfit and the next wearing a fairy princess outfit and tiara. also: it was so very nice to meet you so randomly on Saturday!

I didn’t know there was anyone else who felt green in their natural pale state. My skin looks quite green sometimes, and the skin around my eyes sometimes turns dark yellow. This is why Jodi doesn’t do pastels.

i don’t do pastels either, but i’m more pink than green.
i’m glad to hear that SOMEONE out there likes slightly crooked teeth; i’ve been debating on whether to get my one or two crooked ones realigned…. they’re not horribly off, but noticable…

The worst part about MY gappy teeth is that I had braces for years, and they’re still like that. That’s what I get for losing my retainer in 1994.
