i am bleaching my teeth right now as i read this. i agree that the media (and Halle Berry for goodness sake - her smile is terrifying) and advertising is making everyone with even slightly crooked or non-alabaster teeth feel ugly. however, i also know that some of us, after years of coffee and smoking and red wine drinking, have less than stellar teeth and can't afford to have them professionally cleaned. still, i think the advertising should just stop already. we get it.

I read this one too - way before any of the other seriously important stuff - because I just love to hear abotu how we are all wacked out of our skulls with pointlessness . . . can you imagine what we are goingt to think when we look back at all of this wacky cul-de-sac-ing? And can you imagine where all of this is leading? Have you seen The Fourth Element? Lots of cute things just like this in it . . . :) K

Hee. The screencaps at the beginning of the article illustrate exactly why the woman in that commercial frightens me. I just don't find her baring her teeth at me and then smiling around it all that attractive!
