May Obsession

This month’s obsession is Freaks & Geeks, the network television show that was way too good for network television … thus it was cancelled after one season. What was this doing on NBC? It belongs on HBO!

It’s brilliant! Without a doubt my favorite actor on the show is Martin Starr. He manages to make every single line of his an absolute treasure.

The whole series is available on DVD, and Dre and I are working our way through the episodes one by one, dreading the day when we watch the last one and have to make our peace with the fact that that’s that.

i wrote the network when the show was cancelled, no response. one day there was a marathon, so i taped a lot of the episodes, but alas, i do not have the treasured episode when lindsey lies to her parents and heads off on dead tour. so sad. i guess i need to buy the series one day.
