I hate the glowsticks 'lightshow' people. Re: the fire performance: they hose down the grass very well twice before performances (as they did at previous PFs) and have many buckets of water and extinguinshers (generally one per every 2 performers) at the ready, and they get permission from the local FD . . . I think a forest fire is more likely to be started by a single smoldering cigarette butt. :) It was cool to chat with you! Also, next time you're in the Multnomah Falls area, you should drive along the historic Highway that parallels I-84. There are tons of waterfalls around there that are beautiful and more secluded that Multnomah.
